One Photo Composition Rule

Depth of field and Rule of Thirds
Rule of thirds: drawing three imaginary line centered and avoiding the middle section.
                     Depth of field:

3 Best Photos

I like this picture because it is centered and symmetrical with everything. Another reason is that she was talking to someone else and still manage to look at the camera.I also chose this as a favorite because I like how you cant see her shadow.

I like this picture because this shows the rule of thirds. I also like this picture because this shows the low level of depth of field.Another reason is that she made funny and historical faces and out of nowhere i got a shot like this.
I chose this as my favorite because i think she forgot about the camera.I also thought this picture was symmetrical therefore i chose it. Another reason is that i like the low depth of field.

f/64 group- Imogen Cunningham

These three pictures above are all inspired by pictures that were taken by Imogen Cunningham. She tooke picture of not only flowers but sections of the flowers and showed details within the flower.

This picture was inspired by a very dynamic picture that was taken my Imogen Cunningham. The picture showed a girl who seemed sad but while she was huddled up her body showed many dynamic shapes.

Imogen Cunningham took a picture of a shell and the lighting that showed on the snail helped show alot of the detail that was on the shell. Therefore, i tried to use that picture as inspiration.
All pictures were taken at f/36.

Composition Rules and Guidelines

After

Before

1) The rule i like in this article is Semetry. I like this rule because when it is used in a picture, it shows that there is more beyond the picture.
2) The rule i like in this article is the Rule of Thirds. I like this rule because it helps make every picture look different.
3) The rule in this article i like is the Golden Section Rule. The reason i like this rule is because it tells to find a main point to catch the viewers attention.
4) The rule in this article that i like is Customize the White Balance. The reason i chose this rule because i feel it would help you capture a better picture.
5) The rule i like in this article is Avoid the Middle.I like this rule because it helps make your pictures less boring and more intresting.

First Portraits Assignment

I think i did pretty good at having the models forget about the camera. I tried pointing out funny or weird things to get their minds off of the fact that there was a camera in front of them.
